We compare ourselves to celebrities who are fortunate enough to have perfect skin. Every time we see them on TV or online we can’t help but wonder how they appear so flawless.

Most celebrities have the most talented people in the country keeping them beautiful. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I can afford a full time:

  • Makeup artist
  • Stylists
  • Nutritionist
  • Personal Trainer
  • Chef
  • Hair stylist
  • Etc

Most of us have to work on our appearance ourselves. For everyone who can’t afford a full-time makeup artist, here are some tips you can implement today.

1) Drink the Right Liquids

We all love going to Starbucks, or your local coffee shop in the morning. However, fattening coffee beverages don’t help much to improve your appearance.

Try drinking more drinks with chlorophyll to help drain puffiness. Also, we advise drinking green juices with lots of veggies.

2) Maintain a Healthy Diet

If we suggested the right liquids then it only makes sense to suggest the correct foods. Instead of driving through nuggets, try Chia seeds and walnuts. These Omega-3 foods are great at increasing your skin’s ability to hold moisture. Also, try to include fewer foods with a high glycemic index.

3) Don’t Touch Your Face

This one is simple. Stop touching your face. Don’t rub your eyes, don’t scratch your nose and don’t lean on your hand.

Your fingers spread bacteria into your skin causing breakouts, which can lead to scarring and increased wrinkles. Also when you touch your face you increase your odds of getting the flu.

4) Don’t Use Too Many Products

The more products you use on your face just means the more likely you are to clog your pores. Clogging your pores increases your odds of breakouts and blackheads. If you can connect the dots on your face, you probably fall into this category.

5) Wear Sunscreen

Many of us fall into this category. We think that the only time you should wear sunscreen is when you’re laying on the beach. If you’re like me, you hardly even use sunscreen at the beach.

Wear sunscreen all the time. Those flawless, perfect people usually wear sunscreen daily.

6) Keep Your Face Moisturized

Right after a shower and right before you hit the pillow at night be sure to put on moisturizer. Make a habit of this.

Try to find a moisturizer with zero irritation and make sure to not use lotions with heavy fragrances.

7) Exfoliate

Did you know we lose around 40-50 million skin cells every day? Without exfoliating, these cells just hang around leaving the skin looking dull. Choose a product that is pH neutral so you don’t dry out your skin. This goes for your face and body.

8) Topical Vitamins

You don’t have to just ingest your vitamins. You can also provide vitamins to your skin with topical products. Many of these products are antioxidants that nourish the skin in many different ways.

9) Use The Correct Products

You want to make sure that the product you use to cleanse your skin is meant for your skin type. Not everyone falls into the same category. There are oily skin types, dry skin types, mature skin types etc. Make sure you do your homework and determine your skin type and match it with an appropriate product.

10) Wash Your Brushes

If you use makeup, make sure that you don’t forget to wash your brushes one and a while. The more often you use a brush then the more often you should wash the brush.

Washing a makeup brush is simple. Bring the brush in the shower with you and put a drop of shampoo into the palm of your hand. Massage the bristles and rinse.
